TEACHING PORTFOLIO

In this section, you can find more information about my teaching philosophy, language teaching style, and sample lesson plans.

CONTENTS

I. TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

I believe my classroom is like a vibrant Roman mosaic.  I view each student like an individual tile of that mosaic.  To get my students to succeed in Latin or History, I try to discover what makes them shine.

II. TEACHING STYLE

Students are expected to come to class, prepared and excited, to engage with the curriculum of the classical world.  My classroom is a virtual model of the imperial Roman Senate.

III. SAMPLE TEACHING MATERIALS

These are a sample of both real and theoretical lesson plans and assessments that I have designed this past year as a student teacher of SF State's Secondary Teacher Education Program.

IV. DIGITAL INSTRUCTION

Click on this photo I took of the Forum Romanum to view a sample "Webquest" on Virgil and Latin Meter that I created for a secondary education course on technology in the classroom and used

with Latin IV AP students.

V. CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT PLAN

For a complete copy of my procedures and policies, as well as other supporting teaching documentation, please click on my photo.
